One of my favorite places growing up was my paternal grandparents' farm. Granny & Papa lived there my entire life until they both passed away in 1994.
When they first moved there, my Papa was clearing an area for his garden. One day, while passing the burn pile, he noticed a little twig had grown into the ground next to it. He pulled it up and threw it back on the pile. He returned three more times and the little twig was back in the ground. So he took it to the other side of his property and stuck it in the ground UPSIDE DOWN. It grew over the years into this huge & gorgeous willow tree! My cousins, sister and I had so much fun swinging from this willow tree that had the perseverance to live.
When I launched my transcription business in 2001, I was in the midst of a divorce and trying to raise two amazing little humans on my own. While this business is what I like to call a roller coaster, I am often reminded of the little tree that wouldn't give up. My grandparents, that willow tree, and my business are very special to me. Thank you for reading our story. I look forward to assisting you with your court reporting & transcription needs.
